There's Brawla's control video, but really all you have to keep in mind is that corkscrew has a couple seconds of invincibility afterward, and barrage and demolition's frames allow invincibility. You can never entirely prevent damage intake, but combo-ing corkscrew->uppercut->repeat as a brawler, and corkscrew->uppercut->barrage->repeat as a buccaneer will maximize the animation time when you can't be hit.

Its all about timing with corkscrew. With practice and experience you will learn. Buccanoob is right too. Ill add if u are a marauder(lets say you at himes) you can corkscrew-> SSK->cork->Ssk till your energy is charged then ->cork->blast->cork->Blast. You can save alot of pots doing that. here is an example link
