Can't play for more than 10sec anymore

For years I've been able to play maple just fine and lag free on my Vista laptop. But very recently I started up again and now I find that I can't play for more than 10 seconds without a permanent lag. It's not freezing my screen, I can walk around and climb, but I can't attack, CC, go through portals or chat. I don't have any idea what the problem could be. I have the same internet, cleaned up my PC very recently. Any help? Please?

MAybe somethings going wrong because of vista Ive heard very many people comblaining about Vista and maplestory Just a guess Hope i helped :D

try not to run other programs while u r playing :S it might be the new hackshield its apprently not compatible with mozilla/explorer o_O

install the latest video card driver. trust me this works. i emailed nexon about this and they told me to do that and it worked perfectly =]

Play on compatibility mode

This has happened to me several times. I have a Vista desktop. Well, for me it somehow worked itself out. Somehow after about a week it started working again. Here's some suggestions~ Check your Antiviruses and such. Believe it or not, if you have two or more antivirus programs, they may block each other out affecting the way other programs are run. (Such as MS) Re-install. It is likely that your problem has to do with the maple file. Another problem with Anti-Viruses: Check the quarantines of your anti virus -oftware. Occasionally, some programs of mine mistake components of MS as threats and quarantine them, making MS unable to run correctly. Try this? link Try a Netsh Winsock Reset: link Make sure you are running as administrator. (Right click > Run as administrator) Wait it out? It worked for me.
