What program did you use to make the avatar? Just DL Paint.NET and use the magic wand tool.

You can also set transparency through the bannedstory simulator.

I use paint. Just normal microsoft paint. Takes me about 30 seconds to make "fix" an avatar. How simple can you get. There are many guides.
