You will notice that we've made some changes around the site. We've worked hard on making parts of the site cleaner to read and easier to use. I understand that some of you like change about as much as you enjoy cleaning your room. But it has to get done. It's good for the mind to declutter and it keeps things fresh. If you're not happy, I ask you to be patient and give it a week before fully making up your mind. Thread listing You may have noticed that thread listings have been cleaned up a bit. We've put more emphasis on the Stickied guides and changed up the look a little. Submitting auctions We've done an extensive overhaul of the process to submit an auction. Immediately you will see a new search bar. Just type in any part of the item and you will immediately see a live list of items appear. Keep typing to further hone in on the item you want and then click on it to add it. This will make it dead easy to add an auction. If you're not finding the item you want, simply use our updated item layout that's categorized by classes. There are a variety of other enhancements we've done to make things even easier than before. Custom Themes This would also be a good time to inform you that we no longer allow linking to Basil themes. I genuinely appreciate that some of you enjoy the site so much that you take the time to make your own themes to customize your experience. However, we have had too many complaints about people's Basil experience being broken due to themes. We're not telling you that you can't use themes, it's your computer, but we are no longer allowing links to themes/edits from BasilMarket. I hope you can appreciate and understand our point of view. This isn't it, we are working on some other enhancements and have some amazing additions in the works. Keep your eyes peeled. Thanks for making Basil such a great site! Enjoy

I'm fine with everything but the new forum layout :/ The emphasis on stickies is good, but the rest looked better before. My two cents :P

Honestly, sorry to say MrB but this new layout is terrible. I liked how the old ones you could see all the threads this new one just seems to be more time consuming. It looks very plain and boring.. >.>

I dont mind but I dislike how we cant link to themes anymore..:l edit: Agreed. the old layout for thread listings was much more appealing than those huge blocks x_x

Personally, this disgusts me to no end. I am angered heavily. EDIT: Not to mention my threads are even LESS noticeable now, since the thread titles were made so TALL in the forum main pages.

I think the poll is rather ridiculous. The two options are very extreme... either you hate it, or you don't. I don't think this poll is a fair portayal of what a large group of the basil demographic thinks. Things aren't always clear cut. I typically don't like change, because it requires me making adjustments... but with the changes mentioned, they aren't so bad. I'm some what in the middle. In addition, I have no idea what they are referring to when they say "theme." Would someone fill me in?

This change makes it harder to use. My scroll wheel clicks 7 times before I can even see the first 10 non sticky threads. I think it's hilarious how we're keeping Basil with an 800x600 friendly layout and then this gets done. >_>

If I was 90 years old with cataracts in my eyes, I would like the new forum layout. Since I'm not, I'm going to raise the "why in the world" flag. The space inbetween threads is just stupid.
