Why are my Parents so Mean?

Today I woke up and I was REALLY late for school because THEY didn't wake me up. I use an alarm but just in case I miss it or it doesn't go off or something they wake me up. Today the didn't, so I got up, found out how late it was, and went over to tell them I just won't go to school. They got REALLY pissed of and thought I wanted to stay home to play Maple Story and then said if I didn't get in the shower right now I would have EVERYTHING taken away. I did as they said and got ready, then I find out my mom said something completely behind my back. Since I told my mom first while my dad was still kinda sleeping, she said its fine and I would just have to clean my room. Then when I got out of the shower she was all pissed at me saying she kept trying to make me go. THIS IS REALLY RIDICULOUS. If I go to school now I get a 45 min. detention, but if I don't go to school now my mom won't be able to take me because she has to take my grandpa to the doctor or something. I don't understand why parents can't just let you have ONE day off of school. I barely have ANY absences and were not even doing much in school today because were watching a movie in 2 periods. I really don't know what to do. I don't want detention, and I don't want to get everything taken away for doing NOTHING. I can't stand my parents anymore, they're seriously driving me to the edge.

If you're in highschool go to school but skip. Thats what i do most times.

Like really, my mom BARELY EVER cleans anymore. She just makes me do it and then tells everyone how thankful we should be that SHE cleans. I don't even open my mouth because I don't want to "disrespect" her, but really, she could clean the whole house for all I care now. I'll make it as dirty as possible too.

Go to school. 45 minutes of boredom is better than six hours of getting ranted at if you stay at home. And not just your games, they'll probably take your computer monitor and 'snack food' like chocolate, if you still like it, that is.
