You can only get banned witth buying leech with REAL money, or nx. But mesos in game, no. Also, make sure your leecher doesn't hack.

no. leeching is not bannable unless you pay/receive payment with real world money ticket i sent to nexon; Hello, for some reason unknown to me, i am unable to view the terms of service via your Maplestory home page. This is just a question into the revised ToS. When i downloaded the most recent patch and logged into my account i was greeted with the revised ToS, which i read through quickly and agreed to whole-heartedly. But i do have a rather important question; is leeching bannable?, (i.e helping another player to level up and recieving mesos as gratitude) There are alot of people speculating that this kind of behaviour is against the Nexon America Terms of Service, and I, as a fully legitimate player would like some information from you about this subject so that i can avoid breaking the terms of service, as i love playing Maplestory and adore the friends I have made there. Please get back to me with more information on this, as i do not want to do anything that will warrant a ban. i have read the thread on the nexon forums made by a moderator last year defining the difference between leeching and a power leveling service, but that was in 2008 and things change. any information you could give me on the subject would be very usefull this was the reply i recieved; Greetings, Thank you for the concern. you answered your own thread o.o...leeching occurs in countless games, and the main rule is, leeching is banable only if a hacker is used or if rl currency is used to pay.

You have a chance of getting banned no matter how you pay. It is the choice of the GM to judge whether your actions are against the "spirit" of the Service, but no they won't go hunting for leechers to ban, but let's say you're leeching in a densely populated training map, you may get a ban. Edit: just for the sake of it, I will post a direct quote from the Leeching policy Hime said: " There are certain grey areas regarding what is and isn�t allowed regarding Power Leveling (or any other rule, for that matter). If you are unsure as to what is okay, remember this from the Terms of Use listed above: �We further reserve the right to determine what conduct is outside the "spirit" of the Service and games provided therein.� What this rule means is that, if you are playing the game in a way that we did not intend, you may be breaking or Terms of Use. Or, to put it another way: If something is questionable, DON�T DO IT! Don�t tempt fate (or the ban hammer) by trying to �technically� get away with something or doing something that is obviously incorrect just because we haven�t directly denounced it on the forums yet or in the Terms of Use. This advice goes for all aspects of Nexon Games, not just power leveling."

When you leech your rate of leveling is abnormal so they may assume you are hacking and would cause banning.

I go through probably 100-300 sent texts a day when I'm really bored. So that makes 200-600 texts total if you count the returned ones. People who try to relate text messaging to grades or video games to grades really irk me. It depends on the person. You can't generalize something like that. In relation to the thread, no you can't get banned for hacking except for the aforementioned reasons: NX and if your leech hacks. Though if you really resort to leeching, then what's the point of even playing?
