Hi everyone. It's been awhile since I played MS, but I've decided to jump back in. Boy - have there been a lot of changes since I left! I know it is probably been a hot topic of discussion for a moment, but I have questions about the Family System that I cannot find answers to using the search function here. If there is a FAQ here that I overlooked, or a thread somewhere that could be recommended, please don't hesitate to make me aware of it! What I want to know about the Family System is exactly how points are earned. In the Family System NPC's explanation, which is vague, Rep accumulates when a Junior member gains exp / levels up, when a Senior helps a Junior train, and when a Senior gives financial help to a Junior. Am I interpreting it clearly so far? Are there other actions that create Rep points other than those things? So going deeper, I'm wondering what the minimal EXP gained by a Junior, on their own, it takes to gain Rep Points for the Senior - and how much Rep it would it end up being? When a Junior levels without the Senior present? How about a Junior leveling WITH the Senior present? Has anyone experienced the gaining of Rep by giving meso to a Junior, yet? It states on the official site that it does not increase Rep - but doesn't the NPC say differently? This new aspect of the game is great and all - but it sure lacks adequate explanation of the inner workings of the system. If anyone has information that could help me further understand this, I would be grateful to be made aware of it! And like I stated before, I search for these answers and couldn't find anything near what I was looking for. Forgive me if I overlooked something - don't flame me for it. >.<

You can only gain Rep by your Juniors gaining exp. No other way. Seniors can help by powerleveling/leeching/pqing with them. If you're offline and your Junior gains exp, you still get the rep.

Yes, you wont get rep from funding your junior. Also, you can get rep from your junior's juniors. But when you do, its only half of what you would normally get from your junior. So if you have 2 of your 'kids' giving you the normal amount of rep, and then 4 'grandkids' getting you half of the normal amount, the grandchildren will be getting you the same amount total, as your original 'children'. Getting rep from down the family tree goes only as far as your grandchildren.

I am in the same boat as you, it took me no time at all to get used to the Rep/Family system. The teleport is EXTREMELY useful.

Aye the teleport is very very useful. It's VIP tele rocks useable once daily. 20 Rep for every 3% your junior gains, and 10 rep for every 3% their juniors gain. The amount of rep gained upon their leveling increases as the level goes up, I believe.

I love your grammar.

Wow...so that means if i was like lvl 15 and had 2 lvl 14 jr's that got 3% every time they kill a monster...i would make over 100k rep in a day...easily. o.o doesn't sound right..

No, it depends. It is based on %'s, but the higher level the junior is, the less they need to gain to get rep for the senior. For example, when i was on my sindit, I had a junior that leveled from lv 12-18, giving me about 2k rep. Each level gave me around 200 rep, so that would be 800 from exp gain. 800/20 = 40. Therefore, i got 40 lots of 20 rep, which were given on an average of 600%/40, which is 15%. To sum that up (Kudos on people who understood it), my jr on my sin, when leveling up from 12-18, gained an average of 20 rep per 15%. Vastly different from the 3% per 20 rep.

Does the level limit between jr and sr 20 levels? And what if a jr overtakes a sr in levels? and if a jr does overtake a sr wat happens to the jrs underneath the jr if the level gap is larger than 20?

I got 5.3k Rep from my CB's JRs. Both are 57~60. Both leveled only once.

I get 20 Rep for every 1% my junior makes The Junior of my junior ( grandkid) overleveled my junior, and I was only getting 1/4th of his rep :/

Thanks for all of you input, although it seems we all need some official clarification from Nexon about the real deal with this - I feel I'm closer to understanding it than I was before!

The higher level your juniors are, the less % they need to earn for you to gain rep, and since they're level 57 ~ 60, you gain a good amount of rep for just 1 level instead of the small amount someone with a level 10 junior would gain. Plus the higher level they are the more rep you get when they level.
