Grr, i'm trying to lose weight, and someone told me to eat more meals, but make them much smaller. I try to hold my hunger until dinner, but sometimes its hard to resist when theres food right in front of you. SO should i eat 5 meals, but smaller portions, or 3 meals, but larger portions. I think i would divide the smaller meals into: Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Snack, DInner, after dinner snack? Or just eat plain breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Also, what meal is the least important( as in i can skip sometimes and it doesn't do anything bad to me) I think its lunch because breakfast keeps you awake in school, and dinner helps me sleep better. but my mom says its dinner that i should eat less casue it get less exercise after dinner(after breakfast and lunch- i go to school, walk around the whole building, etc.) EDIT: thanks everyone for the excelent advice :D

Eat smaller meals; keeps your metabolism going Say you have cereal and an apple for beskfast like every morning. easiest way is just to eat the cereal, then wait until your break then go for the apple

More frequent, but smaller meals if your schedule allows for it.

(I have a fast metabolism, so I don't get fat when I eat 16 kajillion tons of food everyday.)

I'd go for 6. Try to break it up into 4 hour increments. Yes, you have to get yourself upat night. Just leave like a fruit bar by your nightstand. It is at night where eating is most important. You are most inactive and hungry then. Your brain uses all the energy.
