Alright, AE build = typhoons. Strafe build = early newts/extra windraider trainin/ and NIGHTSHADOWS I am aware that AE is more preferred because of the typhoons glorious exp rate per hour. But aside of my sniper I am also creating a Hero for bossing purposes.(I love my sniper, but I also want a character that can take a hit) So, nightshadow badges give me the slight chance of 1H GM scrolls. Badges there I hear are incredibly hard to get cause of its low drop rate. And exp im not so sure of. if its jsut as good or decent, then that would be a win-win situation for me Even if i choose not to make that hero in the end, GM scrolls have a pretty nice sticker price, so i can make a godly sniper/marksman So, what is the better alternative?

Strafe is squids, not really extra windraiders. Plus gobies are fun

Unless you're funded enough to burn tons of potions, go with Strafe.

Effectively training at Nightshadows requires a high level of AR/E.

i went AE its alright i kinda wish i went strafe first. Typhoons is a pot burner and its annoying when they gust you every once in a while. Just my input though. Yet i cant say anything against strafe because mine is like lvl 2 where my AE is 27 cause i thought id be at typhoons forever but when you run out of money it isnt fun

Kevvl said: "Not from what I've heard, aya." I consider "effectively training at Nightshadows" to wield better exp/hr than Newts.

Well, by 85'ish you have Strafe and AE maxed, which means by around 90ish, it doesnt matter which you went as long as your ready for the next area. Most people add more eagle since typhons or not, they need it for newts early/late 10x+ So pick whichever one you want, id go with whichever is more fun, and youll get there fast either way. I personally did a hybrid thing, horrible choice and didnt maxe strafe or AE right out, and went back and forth. Mind you i had tons of places to train but i was a little weak wherver i went, but i could literally go anywhere that need a middle level of either lol

UseTheForce said: " I meant the room." Well, that's true, but the room is much more recommended for 4th jobbers.
