MapleStory is unoriginal?

I think MapleStory is a good game but l, to me I believe MS isn't very original in things. I am a Final Fantasy Fan and I happen to notice they stole a few things from Final Fantasy. Such as the summons Ifrit and Bahamut. I know Ifrit represents a fire demon in a religion, but I know that Final Fantasy seems like the only game that used Ifrit in their game. Also Bahamut, a Muslim religion states its a huge fish. But in Final Fantasy they made it as a dragon, and in Maplestory, its a dragon too. Well sure you might not agree with me with those things, but I'm just stating it. If you have other things you think MapleStory "stole" off from other games, feel free to share. Things MapleStory stole off of. -Ifrit (Final Fantasy) -Bahamut (Final Fantasy) -Zemunist and Alcadno (Final Fantasy X) *It relates to Yevon and Al Bhed* -Romeo & Juliet (Shakespeare) -The Blue Genie ride from Orbis to Ariant (Disney) **************************** Alright, I'll be honest, I lost to this conversation. If you put it that way, nothing is original. Final fantasy got those from the religions, so FF isn't original either.

Couldve been coincidence. And it doesnt mean they "stole" the idea. Other games have weapons, armor, etc and kill monsters. Does that mean they stole that idea from other games too?

Yes, and Valhalla Helmet and Thanatos are from Norse Mythology. If you're being like that, you might as well say Pokemon isn't original because Charizard=Charcoal+Lizard and other names.

That's what I like to call "based on something." Many of the symbols for attacks/enchantments in Maple have some kind of religious or spiritual meaning.
