Thinking of making a corsair

Convince me. Everyone says they are amazing... Reasons? Also is their HP as low as bowmasters/NL's? I can HP wash, but I hate low hp :[ Please tell me all about them. Thanks~

Best DPM in the game, large variety of fun moves. Hell to get to 3rd job, but the pay off is worth it in the end.

If you want to make a corsair, make a gunslinger first. And make the gunslinger because you find it fun and interesting, not because of its potential much later on. The unparalleled DPM of the Corsair in their Battleship is just a reward for struggling through 120 levels. This may seem like an unhelpful statement, but it's the truth. Too many people make classes because they want to be "strong" but end up quitting because they can't take the dedication to level it up. As for Corsair facts, there's a stickied guide at the top of the Pirate forum. Edit: Corsairs have higher base HP than archers and thieves. And yes, their cooldown is getting a change to 90 seconds.

HP is higher than thieves and bowmen. (But no defensive skills like MG) But dont just make a gunslinger because you want a Corsair. You'll be pwned.

Boat regeneration is nothing to worry about, because most corsairs have enough skill to get off and on to save their ships hp, and their ship hardly ever breaks..... Even if it does rapid fire isn't that bad.....

make it because they will kill all other jobs and screw getting to 3rd job, all it takes is time

I understand, and that's why I have decided to stick with just one char. now. And even though they may be weak in 2nd, they still look extremely fun. :D

The Gunslinger guide in the Gunslinger section is pretty indepth; it'll hook you up with everything you need to know, including inspirational videos.
