is maple warrior really that great for warriors to get? other classes would also get it...

Yes it's an awesome skill. However 4th jobbers have to prioritise other skills to max as well.

saiyansage 04/25/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
saiyansageMine is lvl 19, so yeah the 10% extra STR/DEX does help a lot..

Its a great party skill, and good for you. Lv20 MW, if you have like 700 of your main stat, maxed MW will add 70 to that stat. Which is great.

SenyainEven though you're right that other jobs will usually get MW before a warrior, get it anyway for two reasons. First is that you won't *always* have another 4th jobber at that level partied... or anyone partied at all. And secondly, there are some people who use pretty screwed-up builds (my sis's old guildmaster chose to ignore Bless entirely on her Priest because she wanted Holy Arrow) so it could happen that you might party, say, a Bowmaster who chose to put off MW to get early Phoenix/Hamstring, or a Paladin who put it off to get early Sanctuary/Blocking, or a Night Lord who put it off to get... uhh... any of their 4th job skills other than Triple Throw, actually. And Richy, I think I answered this one for you in a past thread. As it currently stands, if you can only have one or the other (Enrage or MW) and you're soloing, the ONLY way Enrage would do more on average for your damage is if you somehow had 58 or less pre-buff weapon attack. If they change it to 4 minute cooldown (i.e. if we assume you can have it constantly and ignore the orb-recharging as trivial) then MW would still do more for damage unless you had 128 or less weapon attack before buffing. This assumes your buff is either warrior elixirs or the 12 attack Rage. Example: If you have 140 attack plus warrior elixirs then constant Enrage instead of the elixirs would offer your damage about a 9.21% buff, less than the 10% from max MW. Enemy defense should be a nonfactor since it impacts the base damage range. EDIT: I may have made an error in the second paragraph. MW doesn't actually give a flat 10% increase to your absolute damage, just base stats. So it's really somewhat less than 10%. Still, the portion of your str and dex that are granted by equips usually won't account for more than maybe 10% of your damage. Spammable Enrage *might* beat it for some warriors, but I doubt it for most.

Spammable Enrage *might* beat it for some warriors, but I doubt it for most." Enrage = +26 weapon attack at max. Let's say a hero usually uses warrior elixirs while training. 26-12 = 14 attack increase. Let's say we're talking about a lvl 160 hero with max Brandish, AC, powerstance, and enrage. Let's say he/she has about 750 base str. MW would grant an additional 75 str points. So essentially you're comparing 75 str (and a certain amount of dex too depending on his/her base dex) versus 14 attack (16 if the hero normally uses rage while training). 14 attack at lvl 160 (assuming the hero has around 140 total weapon attack) would be about 6 str per attack which = 84 str. These are all very rough estimates and a lot of approximation is used (it varies heavily depending on the specific warrior/situation) but it seems that if Enrage could be used constantly (negligible cooldown) you'd benefit slightly more from enrage over MW. I also didn't account for any increase in damage due to the slight dex increase (only applies to non dexless characters) so they're probably about the same.

MW also gives ACC because it boosts your DEX.
justy461 04/25/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
justy461it increases secondary attribute points. say u need 100 dex to use you weapon you have 92 dex, but with a decent level MW, it'll increase your dex to 100 so you can use your weapon.

Nah, I dont think it works like that. If you have are a warrior with 110 base dex and no dex equips and if u use maxed MW you should have 121 dex, but I don't think that means you can use a Stonetooth.
duskreaper 04/25/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
You CAN use a ST in that situation. Although it isn't smart since if you get dispelled from a boss then your weapon will be unequiped and you'll DC.
