| i'd recommend you cleric man, they're cheap, u barely use pots, and if u go lukless, u won't need to buy expensive clothes ^^, plus, u'll still be more powerful than LUK mages, so i guess that's the best choice for a new start =) |

| Someone else did a post similar to this. Here's what I wrote down for that post: Anyway, here's a summary of what I would think: Clerics/Priests/Bishops: + Abilities to Heal, so no more HP pots + Good for parties + Good experience to level fast if used correctly + Great buffs for parties and itself + Genesis and Resurrection are quite unique and extremely helpful + You get the dragon, Bahamut to aid you + You can travel to places and return with door to help others (or leave others) + There are training places (if you have MP Eater) that don't require you to buy ANY pots at all! (best advantage) + They have a high amount of money making ways + They have abilities to make "friends", meaning people that will use you for training purposes (this can be bad too) + The buffs are amazing with defense and accuracy - They do get extremely boring until 4th job due to their lack of attacks - They are relatively weak compared to other attacking classes, such as Assassins or Heroes - They do get abused in parties with people yelling "heal pl0x" and other things like that - They ARE overpopulated, so you may not be able to get into parties - Soloing is not their best thing - Sometimes, you DO need to party at almost any cost - Solo clerics are okay, but not great (again, due to lack of attacks and low attacking power) That's my take on it from experience and other people's experience. Ice/Lightning Wizard/Mage/Arch Mage: + A variety of attacks + Ability to freeze monsters for a large amount of 2 seconds so you can use pots to heal yourself or chat to someone for a couple seconds + A WIDE range for attacking for better leveling + Fast leveling with mob skills in 2nd job + Faster yet with 3rd job skills of Booster and Ice Strike + The buff attack increase + Some places only require the buying of HP pots if MP Eater is maxed and a good training area + Sometimes, there are platforms and areas that have Ice Strike reach the monsters for better HP conservation + Blizzard, Chain Lightning, Ice Strike, and Thunderbolt does help make training both faster and a bit more fun - They are not known for being in parties so much - They don't really make THAT much money compared to the Cleric class, but still enough for themselves at least - They do tend to get boring, even with a variety of attacks because of the fact that they do not have high attacking power - Soloing takes time sometimes, and it's not exactly the best unless you LIKE being alone training Well, here's my take on it. It seems that I/L looks more appealing, but that's on my take from experience. I have both a Cleric and I/L Mage. They are both fun and not funded at all right from the start. If you do get bored with one class, then make the other. :D |

Do you realy think all these guys, that want to be cleric or i/l have no fun playing a f/p? They all hear this lies and think f/ps are bad. But, not my problem. The few f/ps out here are nice guys. And if more clerics/ils are there, it is more special that i am a f/p :> |

How can you say all F.P.s are nice guys? That's like saying all Maplers are nerds. |

| hmm thanks you guys for the tip. i think ill go with inuyasha idea and make one class first, then if i get bored with one i could go with the other. i would probaly go luckless first so i save money on buying overralls and wands. godly damage isnt my thing so yeh. it should be able to help me make some money by being luckless as well. |
