I feel like I'm going no where with my life.

I feel like my life is a waste. I feel like my parents wasted time raising me up when I'm just going to disappoint them and burden them for the rest of my life. I feel so ashamed to be living under a roof of perfect people, because I am not. I feel unable to pilot my own life. I feel like the reason this chair is hard is because I keep sitting on it. Not moving. Just stationary, and that's what I'm going to be like for the rest of my life. I don't look forward to "tomorrow" anymore. Tomorrow is just a word to me. It means nothing. Kind of like everything around me. I feel that I don't belong here. I feel that I am dragging my family down from their full potential. I.. I don't know anymore. . i'm sorry that I've been posting these kind of threads lately. I've jsut been so depressed lately..

Dude... your 16, your not supposed to have direction in life yet. All your supposed to do is do what the man tells you to. A large percent of students in their first and second years of college don't even know what they are going to do, you have plenty of time to figure it out.

"Live on the edge. If you're anywhere other than the edge, then you're wasting too much space." It's probably worded differently, but it's really inspirational. You're parents raised you because they love you. Even if they don't show it, they still do. Some parents are really messed up, but if your parents spent all this time raising you and you squander it; then that's like sticking your middle finger at them. Your parents want you to be successful, to someday have you make them grandchildren. It'll only be a waste of time for your parents if you kill yourself. No one is perfect. You aren't perfect, I'm not perfect, celebrities aren't perfect. Bottom line: no one is perfect. Ask someone to help pilot you. Hell, I'll even try to help you over the internet. The chair isn't your life. Don't even begin to compare your life with a chair. "Not everyone is born equal." That means do something, strive. Don't look forward to "tomorrow". Look forward to whatever's gonna happen to you the next second. Whatever you do, do not cause your family grief. That will only dampen their "potential" even more, what ever that means. But really, don't just be like a cicada. Cicada's live underground for most of their lives. Then, they come up during the summertime and die before the middle of fall. Be like an ant, if anything. Ants are dedicated to their work, life, and family. They will fight to the death, drink with their friends, etc. I hoped this cheered you up, though I doubt it. I know I sound like an optimistic 14 year old girl, but please take my words seriously. I felt like you after all the "drama" that went down at my school. After that I used to be a friendless, depressed girl with similar feelings to yours. I picked my life up again in my Sophomore year. Started listening to new music outside of the so-called "popular" music. You're life can still be changed. Trust. Me. And. Others.

you're only, what, 16? So what, every other teenager out there feels the same at some point or another. If you kill yourself, you're throwing away everything that could have been and probably would've been. Not saying don't do it or do it, but c'mon, suck it up.

Cuz when you give up, it leaves parents a false hope that you have hidden potential.

Most people can't tell what they really want to do until they take some higher leveled classes in a specific field to test it out. Colleges would actually prefer it, it causes students to end up taking more classes which means more money for the college.

I kind of feel similar, except it's more of a "why would I want to live in such a pointless world?" thing. I've already decided on joining the Navy SEALS/Marines, and I plan on "being a hero" a lot. Goin out guns blazing... in a good way.

Today I woke up feeling like an epic loner who just fails at life. Now I feel better(still like a loner a little =/) but way better, just by focusing on positive things. Just try your best to do that :P

Even if the parents are "satisfied", the child who gave it all will be satisfied. He or she will end with a feeling of closure. I believe the child should be the one with the pilot's seat.
