Guide: Creating edited avatars using only MS Paint

Guide to making edited avatars with Microsoft paint Some people seem to be having trouble making edited avatars without the use of any downloadable software, so here is a brief guide. Follow the instructions completely. Do not create your own custom items. You can recolour items, as long as it isn't too distracting. You do not need to download/buy anything for this guide. If you have problems feel free to post or PM me. I will be able to help. Starting Out 1. Create BannedStory character. Save this character from BannedStory as a PNG.Make sure "Background: White". Insert image 2. Open 1 MS Paint window. 3. Open your BannedStory image into the window. Make sure "All files" is selected, instead of just "All Picture Files". Insert image 4. Extend the page so that you have room to work in, and drag your avatar to the side. Insert image 5. Save the blank default basil avatar (grey blob) into your files. 6. Edit > Paste From... > Select blank grey blob avatar . The blank will now be pasted into the window, surrounded by black, so fill the black in white. DO NOT MOVE THIS IMAGE! Insert image Aligning avatar 7. Draw a coloured square around your character and fill it in, making sure the colours are different to what appears on your character. Insert image 8. Now you need to align your avatar with the blank one. First, right click the same colour as your background using the colour chooser, and then draw a cutout box around your character, making sure the second paste option is selected so that the background won't show when you drag your avatar onto the blank. Zoom in to help see clearly so that you can align it more easily. Insert image Insert image 9. Re-size the image 96x96 by going to Image > Attributes > Units: Pixels > Width: 96 > Height: 96 > Ok. 10. Change the background colour again so it's different to the colour on your avatar. Insert image 11. Save the image as a PNG. Converting to GIF and Transparency 12. Go to iaza and load your image onto the website. 13. Click on "Convert to GIF". 14. Click "Transparent". Click on the background colour of your image and select "Confirm". 15. Click on the image preview. 16. Right click and save the image. 17. Upload the avatar to basil. 18. Leave a cool comment on this thread because i spent so much time writing this for you.
