| I have Adobe After Effects cs3 and I don't really know how to use it. I want to use it for cool movie trailer intros and also to make explosions in my videos. Does anyone have any good tutorials for this kind of stuff? |

| I have it also, but I use Sony Vegas, they're just the same the only thing that changed is just other effects are in Adobe and other effects that's not in adobe are in Vegas. Vegas is more user friendly - meaning it's easier to use 'cause I think adobe is for more "pro" use. If you want explosions then search for Particle illusion, though those are two different programs. Just... add some videos and cut paste ct paste and add effects on the video parts? Adobe is just sitting here in my comp, I haven't used it after I got Vegas. |

After Effects is not a nonlinear editor. I repeat, After Effects is not a nonlinear editor. After Effects is for digital motion graphics composition while Vegas is a nonlinear editor. Although you can edit videos similar to non-linear editors on After Effects, the program is more suited for effects work and is mainly used for video post-production work. |
