and I wanted to make a corsair. What would I need to know. I hear people talking about strless slingers, but are they really stronger than regular? It seems to me that going str and dex is better than going just dex o.O

full dex is stronger for bowman and guslingers and will be even when maple guns come out

if you had a few bil, go 1x atk PAC, 1x atk FS, 100+ gun for final gun (for this it's easier if you just go low str) since it's impossible for strless gun to get to 100+ since avg atk for lvl 64 maple gun is 60 atk highest it can be is 64 clean, even if you hit 7 30s [+35] it's only 99 atk, 12 atk MoN, 15 atk SCGs, zhelm scrolled with dex, 15 dex earrings, and you're pretty much set. All that should cost you a FEW bil lol But uh strless is just "meh" for the entire slinger class. Go low str if anything.

I was thinking of going 8 attack pac, 6 attack fs, 16 attack glove, and a str overall or top. Can they hold shields? The dex earrings and dex scrolled helm are pretty boss too. MoN of course haha. I think I like low str more than strless yea. Also we don't have the weapons sins have that make dexless even playable til 4th.

if you got the money for it sure go get all that. Imo if you can do the whole low str, go with a pirate overall since they already give stats scroll that for even more stats then you're set. fyi 16 atk glove will cost you 2 arms and a leg. gl

That's your 'few bil' gone. The FS will cost you an arm and a leg, not so much the glove. I'm a low STR, and I'm pretty sure it's better than a STRless at the moment. Unless the maple (level 64) weapons are scrolled to 90+ Attack, it won't be very worth it going STRless.

Yea i'll just go low str. I'll be transfering items from my sin over, so I just need to buy the fs actually haha.

Statless hardly benefits any class in the long run since endgame weapons require a ton of the secondary stat. That's changed recently, with elemental staves and warriors never really needing any dex except for NRW and ST but it's always been the same for bowmen. Low str > strless.

Yea I would say the only exceptions to the statless rule would be warriors and mages. Otherwise I think low stat is the way to go. Sins I am on the fence about.

reg str is the best cause at level 50 you have a 30 str overall 15 str zhelm 10 str cape 5 str dep star your wasting 10 str only lowstr when accounting for zhelm and dep star and other equips that are similar...if your getting a HT necklace maybe you should keep that in mind too

Low STR because you should probably have a zhelm at level 50. I suggest just getting a ~30 DEX overall, rather than getting a STR overall, due to it being cheaper and less rare. You'll have enough STR from the zhelm and pendant. If you decide to scroll a pirate overall, you'll also get a decent amount of STR from those. And about sins being DEXless, I have to say they're better off being DEXless, rather than low DEX. The level 90 DEXless claw is like 10 atk under the level 110? But I think it'll be worth it, not to mention the faster atk. That like extra 145 LUK should do the trick.

Don't get an overall. 30 Stat overalls are about 4x the price of a 30stat top/bottom. My 28 stat top+bottom cost me 100m. A 28STR robe would be in the high 3xx area.

My int overall cost me 400 mil haha. So I am thinking that I will indeed get a str overall. Currently I am working on a f/p mage. I was going to go the cleric route, but it's just not my style. It's only worth it to get an overall anyway if you are getting one in the 35 str range IMO.
