Ok before you post get a better attitude I will tell you about this. 1. I exercise an hour a day 2. I lift weights 3. I eat under 2000 calories and sometimes even under 1200 4. I weigh 200-220 pounds (changes randomly) 5. I look fat 6. I follow the health requirements I eat salad for lunch, I eat a small bowl of cereal for breakfast, I watch my saturated fats, I watch my calories and I watch what I eat. I sometimes skip breakfast (I know bad). I eat 5 a day and eat 3 meals and sometimes a small snack. I have done this for over a year and still I am fat. 7. Help me! Should I get checked for something? I know some people in my class who weigh 120 and exercise the same as me but eat twice as much as me? I just can't under stand it. Current Weight - 220 Pounds Current Height 6'1 Current Age - 15

HolyMythosHow many meals a day? When do you eat? I'm a little confused when you say "I eat 5 a day and 3 meals a day"

@3: You shouldn't eat under 1200. This is probably what's slowing down your metabolism. >_>

divine619Maybe you're at that point where you need to take it to the next level to lose weight

You're not exercising enough, you're not lifting enough, you're not checking the serving size, your scale is broken, indeed you do, haha health requirements, and no. There 7 questions in one sentence, you're welcome

Follow the principle of specificity, (exercising specific muscles or areas that you want to change.) Also, muscle weighs more than fat, so any fat you've probably lost has been converted to muscle which is why you weigh the same or more.

Use a calorie tracker to really see what you're doing. There's a free one at mypyramid.gov. Losing weight really does boil down to math.

Do a bunch of cardio exercises if you don't already, not sure what kind of exercise you're currently doing,
stefan812 04/21/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
The problem is that your lifting weights... Muscle weighs more than fat which is why it seems like your not losing any weight at all. The actual weight you lose from eating less and healthy plus the exercising is being made up for by the weight lifting. If you want to lose weight I suggest instead of lifting weights you do more cardio, which is mainly running ( stuff that makes you sweat).

Your metabolism is probably high then. Just keep exercising daily.

Your new muscles may weigh the amount of fat you lose

xxshillxx said: "Speed up your metabolism. o____o Or maybe you're scale's broken." that happened to me. i suddenly went from 115 to 131 and i was freaking out. then i looked at my scale when nothing was on it and it was at 16 so i was like "...oh." great story, huh?

No it is low putiii, and also I look fat but I have been looking skinnier but weigh more/same? I have weighed myself on multiple scales. How do I speed my metabolism up? Trust me I look at the labels, it is the main thing I look at. The requirement is you should exercise 1 hour a day anymore can be to much stress on your body. I lift weights about 30 minutes a day and still exercise after that for an hour.
