Low STR or Normal STR

Hey Guys, Well I started on a hunter and have been pondering which stat build to go, I'm currently a level 52 with 40 STR base. I was wondering if it would be better to go normal STR and full DEX equipment, or a Low DEX build with a mix of equipment. I want these two options to end with a Timeless Bow. So I want to know which build would be better and have the most damage and if low DEX, where I should cap my STR etc. Any equipment suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks in advance ^^

Sorry if I'm not very clear..." Depends..technically a timeless bow will be better if it has 4+ more Att than the nisrock. You can check Hidden Street to calculate your final range after some equips.

I know, that uses a ton of money though, how about Timeless + HT Pend 2/3 eggs? or Nisrock + MoN? if the bows were clean.

The HT egg is only better than the MoN if you're using all the stats on it, like most of the STR and all the DEX is always useful (once we get three eggs which could be never). At current, the MoN far outclasses the HT pendants... and the low STR can very easily use a Timeless if they set up properly. It's very hard to find Shiners and even Nisrocks in Khaini at least. I know my guild leader is making a Shiner to scroll because bows are so expensive ^_^ The true purpose of going Low-STR is that STR capes are cheaper than DEX. A few of your equips are going to give STR (Zelm, Pendant, overall, maybe shoe/gloves) so you just subtract this value from the requirement and then have less base STR to get more DEX. In the end, it really doesn't matter too much, but with a proper set-up like above and perfect stats you'd be doing slightly higher damage.

Ah, I never knew Str capes were cheaper, thanks ^^ The problem is Str overalls are very rare and expensive and the 60% scrolls cost a ton in Broa I only ever saw two and they were 20 Mill >_< And so Dex overalls are cheap, and they are becoming cheaper. I'll look around into HT pends...

Dont go out of your way to get str gear. I just have zhelm and deputy star. Rest of my equips give dex. Currently my overall gives 3 str and 100%ed for dex, but I found a cheap level 90 overall which gives me exactly 13 str (and 10 dex) which is what I need to equip a metus at 90 so I got it.
