So theres this girl. She's really cute and everything and I was getting hints that she liked me. Ex: Asked for my phone number, talked to me alot, stared at me. After a couple of weeks she kinda stopped doing all these things. I got the hints but I wanted to ask her during the dance which was months away. .__. This has happened to me at least 5 times. I'm just kind of scared to approach them sometimes. (To ask them to the dance/ask them out) Then they just kind of stop giving hints and start hating me.

Maybe she suddenly lost interest for some reason. Just spark it again by asking her to the dance.

It's freaking mixed signals and I seriously hate that. You can always attempt to have more contact with her, unless she gives the big hint that that isn't what she wants, then there's your answer.
