Mac vs. Windows

I need a vote on which one you think is better. Please state why. I don't want to hear Windows is good for gaming because I know that already. Personally I'm all for Mac... FYI Mac does accept games and you can get boot camp.

Come on seriously. Stop with the Mac vs. Windows threads. Windows is going to win the popular vote like it always. Not only have there been several threads on basil about this, but there have been HUNDREDS in many different online forums. You can ask the same question 100 different way and the answer you receive wont change.

I game. Alot. The only games you get on Mac are games by really small companies of which only a fraction are good, or games by really big companies of, once again, only a fraction are good. Yes sure, you can install Windows and run your games through that, but why would I get a Mac if I'd only dual boot to Windows? Did I mention I love DirectX 10 even though I only play a few games that support it? Secondly, when getting a Mac you're paying for the Apple logo. The only reason you can't install OS X on a custom built PC are the all so wonderful Apple motherboards which only come with Macs and thus make any form of customisation impossible. You can't overclock, your graphics card will suck, you're limited to exactly the hardware you get in white and shiny package and even though it has a screen and operating system included, you're still paying the price of a kickass i7 PC system for a lousy Core 2 Duo Mac. PCs can be upgraded part by part whenever you have the money or need to do so, but Apple releases a new set of Macs once a year. So far I haven't come across anything I can't do on Vista that I could do on a Mac. In my whole life I've used Macs for around 24 hours total and Windows for who knows how many years. In that time I've had a Mac crash on me more than any version of Windows. Yes, overall. So to sum this all up, I've said it before and I'll say it again. I personally would never get a computer that I can't game on. Ever. I can't game on a Macintosh and I doubt I ever will and even if I could, I know for sure that getting a PC would save me thousands of dollars if I wanted similar performance.

I prefer windows. I really enjoyed picking parts for my computer, and building it, knowing that later I could change it if I wanted. Macs don't give you that freedom.

I know macs are a rip off and aren't customizable or anything but IMO the operating system is better though.

Nothing I can do on a Mac that I can't do on Windows. Overpriced and there's no point in boot camp since you end up using Windows anyway.

Here's how the issue breaks down: Macs are Maya 3d GODS and have superior film making programs. PC with 1/10th of the ram a mac has will STILL run programs better than a mac with windows on it.

windows, because i can do anything i want with it. when you paying for a mac, a lot of it goes to the software (which doesnt mean squat to me), and customer support (which is a pro). also, apple fanboys are annoying.
