| Hello so since I'm bored (yes the typical "i'm bored thread"). I decided to test out how large the brains are of my fellow Basilers.Here is an "What am i?" Riddle for you guys: Edit: I will keep posting more riddles as long as people keep solving them. Riddle #1:When you stop and look, you can always see me. If you try to touch you cannot feel me. I cannot move, but as you near me, I will move away from you. What am I? Answer: The Horizon Riddle #2:I was carried into a dark room, and set on fire. I wept, and then my head was cut off. What am I? Answer: A Candle Riddle #3:I have an eye but cannot see. I am stronger and faster then any man alive but have no limbs. What am I? Answer: A Hurricane Riddle #4:I cover what's real, hide what is true, but sometimes bring out the courage in you. What am I? Answer: Makeup Edit: Moving on to "who am i?" riddles Riddle#5:I have a heart that never beats, I have a home but I never sleep. I can take a mans house and build another, And I love to play games with my many brothers. I am a king among fools. Who am I? Answer: King of Hearts Riddle #6:Some try to hide, some try to cheat, but time will show, we always will meet. Try as you might, to guess my name, I promise you'll know, when you I do claim. Who am I? Answer: Death Riddle #7:I dig out tiny caves, and store gold and silver in them. I also build bridges of silver and make crowns of gold. They are the smallest you could imagine. Sooner or later everybody needs my help, yet many people are afraid to let me help them. Who am I? Answer: Dentist Edit: Moving on to "Brain Teasers" Riddles Riddle #8:Mary was working in a chemistry lab with a mixture of chemicals that was 90% water and weighed 20 pounds. After returning to the lab from a weekend break, she calculated the mixture was now 50% water. How much does the mixture now weigh? For purposes of this puzzle, assume the non-water part of the mixture was not affected by evaporation. Riddle #9:The sun bakes them, the hand breaks them, the foot treads on them, and the mouth tastes them. What are they? Answer: Grapes Riddle #10:Mountains will crumble and temples will fall, and no man can survive its endless call. What is it? Answer: Time Riddle#11:Tom and his younger sister were fighting. Their mother was tired of the fighting, and decided to punish them by making them stand on the same piece of newspaper in such a way that they couldn't touch each other. How did she accomplish this? Answer: She put the newspaper under the door and one person on each side Riddle #12:If your sock drawer has 6 black socks, 4 brown socks, 8 white socks, and 2 tan socks, how many socks would you have to pull out in the dark to be sure you had a matching pair? Riddle #13:A man was to be sentenced, and the judge told him, "You may make a statement. If it is true, I'll sentence you to four years in prison. If it is false, I'll sentence you to six years in prison." After the man made his statement, the judge decided to let him go free. What |
