Max Mortal Blow?

If you are a 4th job bowman, pls vote, and post your opinion on how useful you find mortal blow when training.

I'm 81, but I'm not too fond of Mortal Blow. I think I might get it to 16, just because I want 29 hawk, 28 AR, and 28 Inferno. But this is just speculation.

It's not that great. It doesn't KB the monsters fast enough, and the SoMB deals less damage than hurricane.

I didn't max it, and I'm glad I didn't. If it knockbacked enemies as far as PKB does, I would have maxed it, but now I have no use for it.

I'm only in the 70's, but I don't like it too much already. I doubt my future build will have it maxed.

I don't plan on maxing it. Like Jousifius I don't think it KBs far enough to serve a purpose.

It KB's monsters quite fast, and the MB does way more dmg than a whack. What else are you planning to do then? Put 21+ in eagle? Has no use, lvl1 FP replaces it allmost completely. Thrust lvl10+? Also a waste, it's easy to get (close to) 140speed with lvl9/10 thrust and xbowsand such, not to forget the possible haste and your hog. Blizzard 21+? Also a waste because those 9points till max only add 5% dmg on a skill you don't use for dmg.

It might also depend on whether you're sniper/ranger because I think snipers will have extra points from not maxing their blizzard.

I am not a fourth job bowman so I didn't vote. But, I found MB pretty useful in my training even at just lvl 5. The KB gives me enough time to safely use PKB to knock the monster back further, or make a "tactical retreat" with that godsend of a pig I have. Or, I can squeeze a strafe in to continue attacking. Works for me o.O The killing effect portion is just too low for me to mention anything on, however. I hope to max it as I finish third job.

For a ranger/bowmaster I understand the hesitation, but not for a sniper. Nothing more wise/usefull to max than MB. Look at the guy who posted above this. That's exactly what I mean.

The most good scrolled ones are speed except white and yellow neschere. These give 10speed, then you allready have 140speed. Later on you might also have an overall and shoes with a bit speed from shoe jump 10/30 and overall dex 10/30, this speed would be wasted. Also there are cheap speed pills which give 10speed. I wouldnt waste 10 extra SP on this.
