I have never looked anyone straight in the eye for more than a couple of seconds. All the time when I talk to someone I look away and most of the time I start drifting off and do not know what I even say. Just a weird thing I noticed. Maby its because I have a heavy guilty conscious.

well, I kind of have a similar problem to that, but that's only when I'm speaking to adults. Like when I ask a question in class and my teacher answers it, s/he usually stares straight into my eyes and I no longer hear the answer, just feel kind of nervous and start nodding yes, yes... haha.

I don't look into many people's eyes. Only my crushes...Hmmm...Wonder if she likes me... She said she did, but stopped talking to me >.<

I can't look anyone in the eye for more than a couple of seconds too.. Not even my bestfriend. Like you, I probably have a heavy guilt. Eh. Or it could just be my wavering self esteem.

well, what I actually do is look the person in the eye (during a conversation), and when I'm ready to say something, I look away and then say it. After that, I look back at their eye's or some facial feature (nose, mouth, etc) EDIT: yeah, I believe that the root of this problem is a self-esteem issue (that is generally, of course). Or the guilt, as some has mentioned. Mine is a self-esteem issue, although I have a lot of friends, I'm still very... you know... Human. i don't know.

I noticed I'm the only one that does it in my school too! Everyone looks me straight in the eye, and then I just look away. Keep looking....Keep looking....
