Cannot Delete Character

So I decided to make a warrior and do the hair quest. I ended up getting bad hair and decided it was not a problem and decided to restart the character. I go to the 'Delete Char' option in the game client and then enter my birthday code correctly (I double checked with the Nexon privacy info) and then my client just disconnects with the message "An error occurred while communicating with the server. Please try again later." I have tried restarting my computer with no luck, running MapleStory on Admin with no luck, waited 10 minutes in between with no luck, waited 12 hours with no luck, created a new character and tried to delete again with no luck, and it goes on. Is this happening to anyone else? And is there a way for me to fix this? [BTW, I'm playing in Broa if it matters.]

I'm guessing that the character is in your third slot on the character list? The same thing happens to me when I try to delete my brawler. I logged a ticket, and got a robot. I don't know when this'll be fixed, but it's a glitch.

Hey Silver, um i think the problem might be that your character you want to delete is part of a family, that was my case when i could'nt delete my chars -.-. So ye try leaving your family if your in one, and if not keep ticketing the gms =D GL!.

Ok, it was the family thing. If one of your characters is in a family, you can't delete any of them I think. So be sure to severe ties with your family if you want to delete your character. :P

Nexon just wants you to buy a Extra Character Slot from the cash shop. Thats all!

it says like u cannot delet charactaers from disconeting from the server
