why do ppl say Ewwww?

Why do people say "eww" as a replacement for another word? It just tears me up inside because its such a bandwagon. Like the other day i was in the fm and this guy was in the same shop as me and there was a crappy scrolled skanda and the other thief said eww. Or when someone dies they say ewww. Its so annoying... i just want to know if anyone agrees with me?

last i checked ew was a way to express discust with something or someone, as many pple so far have already emphasized. It is hard for such a "word" to be classfied that way... It seems to me that you have "jumped aboard the bandwagon"-wagon o-0

It's just people's way of showing disgust towards things. Does it really matter if you don't like it when people use it for things you don't think that fits? No it doesn't.
