Great use for Grenade

I'm NOT talking about luring btw. Awesome, so I just realized a great use for grenade, and the best part is that it works with it being at any level =) So heres a recap of how grenade works, you hold down a button to charge it up so it actually goes somewhere. However, if you don't hold it down it barely covers any distance so it only hits monsters basically right in front of you. To make up for its long charging time there is (from what I see) no delay after the grenade is let go. On to the point. When monsters get close to you, not hitting you btw, use grenade to add damage, then quickly recoil shot to escape, thus taking advantage of grenade's not having any after-delay. Usually grenade is left at level 11 (95% damage), but combined with recoils max damage (260%) it is usually enough to kill off the closest monster (if its already hurt a bit). It works at any level because any added damage is nice. Right? The only problems with this that I've found is that the mp cost is kind of high for the damage done. Theres also how it has no mastery, making it somewhat unreliable. but it still looks pretty cool. The funny thing is that recoil shot tends to hit before grenade. Just to let you all know, I'm still keeping grenade at level 11. Enjoy the combo =) Edit: Grenade doesn't seem to macro, so just press the buttons separately if your going to use it.

Yeah, but one of the biggest reasons Grenade sucks is that there's no mastery, therefore it's not a guaranteed kill.

granade is useless. dont really need to be maxed. 3rdjob and 4th job u dont use.

I didn't use it in 2nd job either. At least I used Gaviota in 3rd job before throwing it into the trashbin in 4th job. Honestly you can just do a quick Blank Shot/SSK and Recoil away for about the same effect.

i got 1 grenade so far for fun and i love going to monsters like boars and stay on top just dropping grenades while hunting for bullets

Grenade is one of those abilities that is like a Swiss Army Spork. There's uses for it if you try and find them, but there are much better ways to do the same thing without it. It is one of those "Hey look, I'm a Gunslinger!" skills though. I think of it the same way I think of Pickpocket for Bandits. Flashy but useless.
