Cant decide which mage

My mage is level 27 and soon to be level 30. Which one should i be i/l or a cleric? He might get to 3rd job not sure about 4th though. What are your opinions to these two?

i/l if you like to mob i would choose it. SERIOUSLY everyone is a cleric. If you plan on 4th job i would choose cleric but by the looks of it you don't seem capable of handling grind so i/l is better. You get 6 hit mob attack in 2nd job Lightning freeze as well! In 3rd job ice strike is godly. IT allows you to strike without getting struck on many maps called Sniping Spots. Also you get a decent amount of life if you count magic guard allowing you to survive hits from high levelled 3rd job monsters. Priest i mean everyone is one. Your not the best at attacking and you can't always find a party and trust me by lv 70 you won't care a cent about pot usage you'll have so much money it won't matter.

I/L, okay? There's tons of clerics out there. Priests are always wanted in parties but you're mainly there for support and not attack. Clerics are like the support character of the game, the ONLY support character. But if you like casting buffs and healing people, it's good as well. In terms of mob attacks and spamming moves, I/L's deal more damage and attacks have more range (especially in 3rd job). Leveling speed for both classes can be considered the same, although sometimes the I/L will have to burn pots very fast for a training spot to give good exp, but NOT ALWAYS. I have played both I/L and Priest before, and I prefer I/L.

I would say I/L, my reason for being one is because i don't want to depend on DKs to train later one since i'm not much of a social person. Also because: i like those elements, the extra freeze to monsters help, fourth jobs just seems really cool, etc. But then i have no problems with Clerics either, so it's your choice. Chose wisely, you don't want to end up quitting it and end up starting another character.

If you want fast leveling and insane exp during 5x, choose a f/p and poison dts and you'll be 3rd job in no time. Then 3rd job you can mist maps and boost your way to 4th. If you want mobbing skills early on, choose an i/l because they'll level decent for their damage. Not too many interesting facts about them... If you are going to make it to 4th job, choose a cleric for the leech selling. I doubt you'll like the constantly healing slave, hs mule lifestyle.

I hate these threads, but i can tell you that there are a few solo clerics, and it's working fine for me i've done 10 pq's, maybe...
