Hey basilers Thanks for helping me out before I know that i have an AGP slot in my computer, and that will allow me to use an average video card. You may thing AGP is old, but i really need a new video card Why? Because currently my video card is only 32 MB Sis and uses Direct X 7, yes i know they are very outdated! here is what my direct X stuff looks like: link I had some AGP cards in mind, but i need you help to know for sure if they are compatable My first option: link I noticed this card says its certified for Vista, but im using a windows XP, will i still be able to use this card? Oh and here is more info about my system: link Option#2-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102781 Those are my best options so far, but i might come across some more that i like. Also, will these cards be compatible with a 300W power supply? I got word from Sony that my comp has a max of 300W my comp model is a PCV-RX860 Please tell me and thanks

o Get the POWERCOLOR X1650PRO 512M AGP Radeon X1650PRO. It has twice the memory of the XFX card you posted and can run OpenGL 2.0 instead of the XFX's 1.5. Basically the ATI card owns its face. o A 300W power supply should be enough. o The Direct X drivers that you have are fine (you could just install newer ones if you needed to anyways), but you WILL need to reinstall graphic drivers after installing the new AGP card.

Yes, it will work fine. For most of your questions, just read the reviews and specifications on the newegg page. All the answers are there.

Wait i dont think an x16 PCI express card is compatable with my system....
Metathenes 04/12/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
No, a x16 PCI express card would not be compatible. The x1650 also comes in an AGP form though, which would work.

radeon HD 3850 is your best bet, one of the best agp cards. newegg has them for cheapest. If you have AGP slot PCI and PCI E will NOT work. Radeon is xp/vista compatible. Its the card i used b4 i made new comp with PCI-E. If you want to play new games, revamp your comp. Get a new motehrboard, the whole works. AGP cards dont work with the newest games, even if they fit the specs.
