does lv 1 does pierce beat iron arrow?

anyone know if lv 1 pierce(including time charging) beat iron arrow in dmg?

No. level 15 Piece+10 SE=max IA+10SE or thereabouts, but then level 15 Pirece doesn't hit 6 monsters

Level 1 piercing greatly exceeds maxed ironarrow on a full charge. How could it be otherwise? Piercing starts out at 320% and increases each pass. Iron Arrows starts at 180% and decreases in power each pass. Even comparing the damage in 4 hits with level 1 piercing to IA, its clearly a win for piercing. Remember IA is spammable, whereas piercing is an annoying charge up skill. Im not sure if pierce does more damage if you just tap it rather than give it the full charge.

DPS-wise, IA is better. However, level 1 pierce is still useful in certain situations (I use it at bottom right newties while waiting for the spawn. Charge after the spawn is gone, and release for 30-60k damage total once 3 fresh newties spawn. In this case, pierce would be more useful than IA)

At level 17/18 (I forget), Pierce's charge makes it stronger than Iron Arrow. @ Syb: A tap of Pierce does 10% of full damage, so it's 35% at level 1 to spam it.
