Look at 9. The closest two-digit number there is 10. So 1 + 0 = 1 and 10 - 1 = 9. Now do 11; 1 + 1 = 2 and 11 - 2 = 9 and so on . . . I think. Same thing with 18, 27, 36, etc

Figured it out: It's going to guess whatever symbol is on the multiples of 9. Why? Every number, using that formula, ends with a multiple of that number.

I figured it out. Only a few of those numbers are actually be the result of c - (a+b) where a is the first digit and b is the second digit of c. Those that can be true share the same symbol, so it will always be right.
