Okay so when I saw these threads I pointed out the obvious and corrected just about anyone I saw and noticed other users doing the same. This is my second thread ever making things clear to players about what is real and what is not the first time I did this was about pirates when people said they are never coming I exposed them here link Okay so first lets talk about them suing hackers..... Nexon's responsibility is to protect its users and investors and company and its products. How do they do this in game well they go after users who cause damage to the game and its users and investors and company and product. These people who cause damage to the game are hackers they abuse and defraud the company out of millions a year. They also cost users hundreds of thousands of dollars a year by hacking user accounts and items and so on and so forth. What does Nexon need to do and have to do by law? Sue them of course they do it on behalf of their users to protect them and on behalf of their investors to protect them from losing millions and they do it to protect their company and product from being closed down. They also have to report offenders to the authorities because people who are hacking are committing a crime most of the time the crime being committed is fraud. They are legally obligated to do this and have no other choice just like any other online game company. Question- How much will they sue you for? It all depends on how much money you have caused in damages it can range from the min. amount 5000.00 US dollars to hundreds of thousands. Question-Will I have to pay a fine? Yes in most cases you will have to pay a fine imposed by the courts for the costs that accumulated to prosecute you. That can range from 100-500 Us dollars to 1000-10,000 dollars depending on the crime committed. Question- The TOS changed and I did not agree to it can they still sue me? Yes they can because you did agree to the terms of service and in the terms of service it states you are agreeing they are allowed to change or mod or remove or add sections to the TOS with or without your knowledge. Question- Someone told me there is a loop hole because I clicked OK and not I accept Yes you did click I accept when you clicked on the OK icon if you did not click the I accept you would not be allowed to play. A I accept button is anything that is in agreement to the contract and that would be words like OK and Agree and YES and so on and so forth. Once you do that you are leaving a electronic signature and are legally bound to the contract you agreed with. Question-They can not sue me if I am under age can they? Yes they can sue you at any age as can anyone else that you cause damages to. If you did not know in all countries maplestory is licensed your guardian is legally responsible for all and any actions you commit this means they will end up having to pay the fines and law suit. Edit: wait i just thought of something if you didn't use your real info just like your address they would have to trace your IP which is also illegal. So wouldn't that make nexon do an illegal act which you could bring up in court if they sue you.

They track your actual computer to the address it is being used from to find you this is how all computer hackers and computer criminals are found.

Hacker can refer to one of thee things: Script kiddies who use downloaded hacks to cheat on the game Programmers who made the hacks to cheat on the game Players who log onto accounts not of their own to take their things 2. Where in the ToS did it say that Nexon can sue you for things that I think are not terribly big in life? 3. Fraud? Wait, which kind of hackers are you talking about? 4. So if I hack somebody's account, does Nexon lose money?
