Wow this sucks

So I dropped an item, and some guy that I sort of trust picked it up. He wouldn't give it back, so I got mad. But I know that he's allowed to keep it, so i couldn't do much about it. That's not what made me mad though. I chased him around. I traded him. He said, "I am Lucky's mom. In our family we do not give things back. So stop harassing my son." Well, he was OBVIOUSLY lying. After that, I traded him again. He had different clothes. He acted like he was someone else. Finally he said, "I put it into storage. I'll get it on my [mule]. But you have to go back to Henesys." Well, we were on the way to Orbis, and i said, "Why don't you pick it up at Orbis?" And he canceled and now he's ignoring me. That's why I'm mad - not because he took my bandana, but because he made up some phony story.

Whats goin on? and why do you have to chase him.
