How do I drink?

So tonight I'm going to a party with my friends and we're all drinking. They have vodka and whiskey which is hard liquor. The problem is, I've never drank vodka or whiskey before, I've only ever had white wine or red wine. How do I drink the vodka or whiskey without being a noob and throwing up or passing out? Is there anything I can do to mask the smell? EDIT: I HAVE NEVER HAD VODKA OR WHISKEY EDIT2 : 17 and Asian and no I do not turn red when I drink. EDIT 3: Alot of you guys are under the impression I'm drinking to impress girls. I am simply drinking with friends for fun. And since I am responsible for getting some guys home I am not gonna drink til I pass out...

Um its pretty self explanatory drink the liquid in the shot glass. Its fun, just make sure you don't do a beer bong full of "water" i fell for that. I had the worst night of my life. Your that kid wondering about weed. Make sure you blaze it up there as well, i'm sure they'll have bud there.

Whiskey is alot stronger... i believe its about 40% alchohal try it out with coke mixed in 1st, btw how old are u @dyingDegree isnt chuggin worse? unless its like a shot or something ..

Use some kind of pop as a chase with the vodka. Stay off the whiskey, it will probably just be too strong for you. ...But I guess it's good you're starting off with hard liq, cause with beer you can't tell when you're drunk until it's too late. You can kinda control how much to have with vod, cause you feel it straight away. But LOL@how you're asking 'how to drink'.

So I gotta drink...I just don't know how much I can take before throwing up or passing out cause I'm responsible for getting some guys home =/
