My Friend got Sexually Abused

One of my close friend just got r@ped or sexually abused It was all my fault . I was on the train with her and i was going to walk her home but because the train to my house was coming in 5min and if i walked her home i had to wait 30min she told me to just go and i did . Then the next day i heard the news Im devastated . She also got hit and she has minor bruises . Im going to the hospital to visit her this afternoon but the doctors said she wont be able to talk . The incident had affected her so much. Ive been crying all day . I havent been to school . I dont think i could cope with everyone asking questions. I dont think she will ever be the same again. And its all my fault . Im feeling so guilty , if only i walked her home i could have protected her . Sorry but i just wanted to share my grief . I had to let it out . Edit: Ive been reading the comments . Some were helpful and encouraging . Some just makes my sadness turn into madness. I wasnt online for a while cos as stated above , i went to visit her in the hospital . Right now she is mentally unstable . Its even more sadder because this happend just before easter . So for the people who dont believe me , i dont really care what you think . And if you want proof , if you live in aus - Bye the newspaper or watch the news . Because i was on the train with her from the easter show . It was around 7 pm - it was dark . Right now i really dont want to argue with the people who dont believe me . I dont have time right now . I posted this so people can be aware of this incident In hope that this sort of thing wont happend again , also to share my grief . No the person has not been caught . Police are trying to question her but she is still unable to answer questions . And please stop pming me with 'is she hot?' etc . Thankyou , i dont need anymore of this immaturity One day if one if you are in my shoes , you will know how i feel . That is all i have to say . Believe me if you want .

Don't blame yourself, no one is to blame in this situation except the guy who did it. Try to make her comfortable and show her you care.
