This is in reply to this thread; link I was amazed by the amount of people who complimented the letter-writer's English, and how some people even admitted to not knowing half her demonstrated vocabulary. Just because you can't comprehend what someone is saying, it doesn't mean the person in question is special in any way. The letter-writer was in no way talented, and in reality, a well educated 15 year old could write as well, if not better. You people should really educate yourselves. Oh, and for people who didn't understand the letter and would like a summarised version; Civilising society takes away the two things men love (due to instinct), violence and sex. Society is forced to let those things be taken away, and to grow a conscience. And once they go against this conscience, they feel guilty, which results to unhappiness. Religion and law is the reason for this, and these two things are stupid; We should all be allowed to give into these impulses of violence/aggression and sex. I want to fight this, and want you to join me. How did I do this? I showed my aggression by hacking you, and hope that you will be angered by my actions. The end. The letter-writer in question just took those words, and fluffed them out using "big-boy words" as you Basiler's cleverly name them.

Lolorz. Even if you don't understand the meaning of the word, seeing how it's used in a sentence basically reveals it for you.

Basilers aren't used to much. And foreign Basilers aren't going to learn more English just so they can understand what's been said on Basil more easily. I'm Dutch and my lexicon is smaller than that of US Basilers, but I'm studying English for the sake of becoming an English teacher, not so I can understand better what the rakes of Basil say. (not saying the Thread Starter of that thread's a rake, but some people really are) Basil Market demands foreigners adapt to English users, while English users aren't meant to adapt to foreign users. It is right in some way, but doesn't feel right to me in another way. I'm not demanded English Basilers go learn speak Dutch or Spanish or whatever, but they could at least show some compassion to those who aren't very good at English, but are trying their best. If you keep me into account I'm going to keep you into account. Basil's lucky I loathe Dynamic English.

In spite of me being able to understand what she wrote she DOES come across as a rake, though. (in literature a rake is someone who tries to come across as intelligent by using "hard" words) She probably knows Basil and its general IQ of 73 may not understand all of it. The only reason why I know the meaning of the word "thwart" (did I even spell that right?) is because it was used in Star Trek once.

Actually I read well over 200 books a year. 150 of them being Dutch, though. And not all words occur in the English books I read, unless a rake plays a role in them. Harry Potter was an easy read. Remember the 15 year old German/Dutch/French/Spanish/whatevernotenglish Basilers, though.
