Double negative, I know. Just thought I should throw this out there..... Nexon made some pretty big mistakes on the last patch they had. Many people are complaining about them, and others are scolding them to not complain, that Nexon is doing their best. The thing is though they(Nexon) are, or should be, professionals. You cannot compare this like "Have you ever tried?", or "I don't see you coding it, it's pretty hard". No, they have gone to college and received years of further education, not just looking it up on the internet and trying to code your own game. They shouldn't make mistakes as big as they have. They are professionals. Making money. They shouldn't make mistakes. And if we don't complain about a flawed product that we, as consumers, should, then we are simply bad customers. When you go to the grocery store and see an open can of soup spilled all over the store, spoiled "fresh" vegetables, and disorder among the cashiers do you think that is a good grocery store? In my opinion no, and I would stop going to that grocery store, not just say "Oh, it's ok, I know you are trying your best." That is something you might say to a grade schooler, not professionals. The thing is that with Maple Story there is no other grocery store to go to, so we go to black market grocery stores: Pizza Slices. They offer much more agreeable services without the giant hassle that Nexon creates. Pizza Slices take away the Monopoly effect that Nexon wants to create. (I will get off the subject of Pizza Slices now so I don't get in trouble with the mods, just had to elaborate in my grocery store analogy, please don't ban). Anyways, would you be happy if the only store in town was just horrible? I wouldn't be. I would complain to them to get their act together until their services were acceptable. If we, as consumers, do not complain, nothing will be changed. So we should complain, because if we don't Nexon won't think to change anything. Thank yous to further explanations: xLordUnholyx said: " Sorry what? Encourage them? Encouragement is for those who lack confidence, or the will to do something. If Nexon has confidence issues, and lack the will to provide a decent service for the game they run, they might as well go and resign as the Hosts and Developers of this dam game. It is their duty to provide the best service and experience to it's customers. They need us more then we need them, they need to do something to keep us playing, and god dam dodgy patches that break everything in the game, hacks that are left unhindered for months at a time, stupid advantages gained by spending money to purchase NX, none of this points to good service, or the continuation of me playing. @TS : You sir, deserve the utmost admiration for saying what the smarter people in the community were thinking. I personally loved your analogy, and if people still think it's okay to let Nexon "try their best" and are content with the service they are provided, then they truly need to develop

Well, go ahead and read the rest then, nothing's stopping you except the amazingly strong urge to be lazy -.-

That is a valid argument. However, instead of being negative you should try being positive and ENCOURAGE them to do better. Also, be a helpful community and say things such as 'We will bear with it until you guys fix it, which I know will be soon =)' or other positive comments.

d3ad5inI'm sure if they had longer patches to make sure all bugs/glitches were non-existent, people who complain more because the patch is too long, etc.

I like this argument.

I agree. Although I do think Nexon is entitled to make some mistakes sometimes. Just not all the time. (As in have a glitch in almost EVERY patch.)

@ your grocery store reference: You can complain to the manager. When you're dealing with Nexon, complaining gets you nothing but annoyed people. So shut up.

You're a human, Right? Humans make mistakes. Nobody is perfect. A simple accidental tap of a button can destroy 1000 lines of coding.

That is the kind of way you may treat a child, so they have a high self-esteem, and always want to be motivated. Nexon has their motivation: Money. This is capitalism, if you can't keep up you're left in the dust.
