What's wrong with those barrels? and the island too? I feel like the time spent on the character and the time spent on the background weren't equally distributed.

It's pretty good...the head's kinda..meh... Also, he looks like he's more on a dock and the ocean looks like sand.

The detail of his armor/gun isn't that nice. Shading is well done. I like the backdrop aswell.
