Her eyes look really cute! :] For the shading, don't be like me and just put one color for shadows, one color for regular, and one color for lightness. Put more shadow colors and put more light colors! :]

Make stronger lights/shadows and make colors between them. Just don't put them like green -> dark green shading. Put there more colors and the whole drawing will stand up better.
