the totem pole's timing is set exactly for you. so when you enter the portal, the pole might be at point A then, your friend comes in. the pole on his computer is set at point A for him, but by now, that pole on your screen is on point B. so, you'll both see yourselves running into the pole maybe (haha) lol ^^

its the lag between everyone's computer. there is no way for ms to sync video down to the dot.

The towers move base on when you got there. For example, if you have been there for 30 seconds it should be at the far right by then, and when someone barely enters, its going to show up the the far left on their screen.
